    Nice gimmick. Won't get any chinese weddings

    The Imperial Palace clearly has never read the Chinese Superstitions handbook.  The number 4 in Chinese is a homonym for "death", hence all events that come in fours or on the 4th date are to be avoided.  As a matter of fact, the only date worse than the 4th day of the month is the 14th, which is a homonym for "certain death".

    Getting married on 4/4/04 is a sure-fire guarantee that either the marriage will explode in flames or the couple themselves will explode in flames, potentially leaving a Party of Five style bunch of orphans.  

    I'm not the superstitious type but can a billion people all be wrong?  I'd go on the side of caution and wait till the 6th.
