You've got to read Steve Hendrix's Vienna fairy tale story,

"Waltz This Way".

It was published this month in the Washington Post.

I can't tell you how refreshing it is to see a funny travel destination piece. Hendrix is personal, self-deprecating, and naturally informative.

He stayed at Starwood's Hotel Imperial and said that it...

"is a wedding cake of a former palace on the boulevard that loops around the city's old quarter. Its royal suites run in the thousands, but off-season Web deals dip to the low $200s next ball season."

Though there are balls all year long, the big ball season is between December 31 and the end of February.
