Don't Eat the Ice

New York's famous Algonquin Hotel now offers bling bling: A $13,000 martini has been added to the menu.
It'll taste the same as any other Martini, but that sparkly thing at the bottom of the glass isn't the usual sort of ice -- it's a diamond. The cocktail must be ordered three days in advance (presumably they wait until the last minute to actually pour in the vodka, vermouth and olives, to keep the whole thing from getting dusty) and the price varies depending on the selected diamond.
The hotel is anticipating some high-profile marriage proposals but they haven't had any takers so far. Maybe that's because they haven't advertised the martini in the right places -- might we suggest HipHopIce.com?
