Add the Crescent Beverly Hills to the iPod hotels list

In the past, we have told you about a couple hotels that offer their guests iPods, either in the rooms, or in and around common areas, or both.
Our friends at BizNetTravel sent us an article News.com wrote on this very topic, and while most of the article will be old hat to regular HotelChatter readers, CNET did manage to uncover a couple new iPod hotels we had not mentioned before, including The Crescent in Beverly Hills. This posh Beverly Hill boutique hotel offers guests 35 rooms, all equipped with a iPod mini, complete with a unique playlist. After visiting the hotels website (very slick) we were convinced this would be the place to stay next time we went to SoCal, however, once we started to hear a little bit about this place from disappointed readers we began to waffle, so we checked this place out on that other hotel review site.
Opinions differ, depending on each guests experience; however there was one opinion that stayed uniform no matter where we heard: this place has paper thin walls. Ugh, nothing like not being able to get any sleep. We guess the iPod minis are meant to drown out the hotel racket. Maybe Crescent should look into uploading white noise to that playlist, or at least look into sound proofing the walls.
This place looks like a cool hotel, and we are dying to get to a hotel with iPods in the rooms, however, hotels have to remember to take care of the basics, then move on to the extras. If we are in a partying mood we still will probably check out this hotel, but think twice if you are looking for a good nights sleep.
