Remember a couple months back when we told you about a hotel that had been nominated as "The Worst Hotel In America"?

Come to find out, there are plenty of other nominees. One commenter clued us in to another hotel that is definitely in the running for this unfortunate moniker, Howard Johnson Plaza in Bremerton Washington.

Sure this guest didn't end up staying at the property, but after looking over the photos, neither would we.

Fortunately, HoJo's corporate did end up picking up the bill for this guests alternate accommodations, however, the almost-guest had to keep on the HoJoCo execs for weeks before getting a response.

Here is what this reader had to say about Howard Johnson Plaza:

The elevator down to the pool area smelled like a toilet in a back ally bar and looked like it had perhaps been used as such on many occasions. There was graffiti on the wall and a staggering amount of dirt, presumably accumulated after many months of neglect by Howard Johnson staff. On the pool level the elevator doors opened to reveal a heavily stained carpet that looked as if someone may well have been brutally murdered in that very spot just a few days prior to my visit. Decorative plants were left dead or dying in shabby display units that lined the dirty walled and stained carpeted corridor that lead to the pool.

Yikes, can you imagine staying at this place?
