LaChapelle to Vikram: Dream on, I didn't design your hotel

LaChapelle is pissed at the Vikram Chatwal for sullying his name when he attached it to the PR push promote his new hotel, Dream Hotel in Midtown. According to the NY Post, and LaChapelle’s agent, Chatwal’s alleged lies were “degrading and libelous”. Vikram claimed the fab photog was involved in the “initial conceptual design” of the hotel, but wasn’t happy with the “details” of its execution, so he pulled out.
Why are we thinking a giddy LaChapelle sketched out a “dream hotel” on the back of a napkin, at some fashion show, handed it to Vikram, who then ran with the napkin sketch, yelling, from the highest hilltops “David LaChapelle is designing a hotel for me”. Just a theory.
Apparently, LaChapelle and Vikram have made up, and the NY Times is going to print some sort of retraction concerning the shutterfly’s involvement in this hotel mess.
Does that mean we have to retract? Consider us retracted. Now can LaChapelle get back to his important daily matters, like photographing Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra.
What a circus DreamNY is turning into already.
