The 201-room Tryp Reina Victoria Hotel in Madrid will become Europe's first Hard Rock hotel by late 2005.

The Tryp overlooks the Plaza Santa Ana, one of Madrid's livliest locations, which is full of bars, restaurants, and clubs.

Sol Melia Hotels and Resorts, who is part of this joint venture, had this to say:

"Guests will be able to enjoy a first-rate experience with the highest technological amenities in every room, including a DVD player, top-notch stereo system and high speed Internet connections. The hotel will also boast meeting rooms, Gym and Spa. The Hard Rock Hotel Madrid will be a valuable asset for the city while also serving as an ambassador for future European Hard Rock Hotels."

Hard Rock is really starting to expand their hotel holdings, Hard Rock Madrid will be the eleventh overall for the company.  Sol Melia and Hard Rock are also planning to take over the Paramount Hotel in NYC and turn it into a Hard Rock Hotel by Fall 2005.

In our minds, non of the sequels can touch the original, but we will probably end up checking a couple out anyway
