Continuing with today's theme about the importance of service, our old friend THOR checks in, and it seems the property has produced a happy customer.  Despite the ongoing construction, THOR won over this guest with great service (a doorman running down a cab for her in the rain), and a good introductory rate ($198...anything under $200 in NYC is a good deal).

It is good to see our old buddy THOR starting to impress.

Here is her hotel review:

Just returned from NYC, stayed at the Rivington and loved it! I must admit, while investigating hotels, came across your site and was a bit scared after reading the posts on the Rivington...what a huge surprise! Yes the rooms are great, I was in a corner room and the views are amazing! The real surprise was even though room service comes from across the street, it arrives quick, hot and is very good! I honestly have never had such "cheap" eats with room service. The topper is the service, many years of staying in the hudsons and parmounts of the hotel worlds, you get used to the rude, couldn't be bothered and "yes I expect a tip" service, this was a HUGE surprise! Cabs don't venture down that way yet but the door man (Noah) walked down block into the middle of the street to hail me a cab, in the rain...to me, that speaks volumes! Oh, and yes, construction is still going on, but who cares, great service, views & food (and a comp breakfast), you really cant beat that for the intro fee of $198-!!!

And Michelle sent in the picture to prove it, she snapped the shot you see above.  Fantastic view!
