- Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc

Sure, this French Riviera dual estate hotel is fastidiously cash-only and barely lifts a furry French eyebrow at it's 800 dollars-a-night starting rate - pennies, just pennies. However, if you have just won the lotto or you are a a A-List celeb (this is the spot where, earlier this year, Cameron Diaz angered Justin by drunkinly flirting with some little known director at a Cannes after-party), do not let this minor inconvenience prevent you from enjoying one of the most unbelievable spectacles of timeless elegance. Plus, they do now allow wire transfers so those offshore accounts should come in handy. To say its like being in a movie trivializes the refined opulence and breathtaking scenery - its more like being in your own romantic daydream.
To play tennis at the Hotel du Cap's courts nestled amid beautifully manicured rose gardens and towering palm trees is competitively sublime with sipping one of their famed bellinis on the magnificent porch overlooking a sloping view down a pebbled lane that leads right to the Mediterranean. In a land where service is seemingly on a different scale - that no tip thing hurting incentive and all - Eden Roc boasts one of the best concierges in Europe. While this hotel is certainly a playground for the wealthy and their wealthier friends there's no policy, attitude nor disadvantage that should prevent us normal folks from splurging and partaking in the decadence of this rare gem.
