This started out as an extremely staid review about a business hotel in Peachtree City, which is about a half hour outside of Atlanta, as the crow flies.

Obviously this hotel is a fine business hotel. All we need for proof is the photo of ten large worth of Aeron chairs around a conference table and we will take the hotels, and former guests word for it. However, as we kept reading the comments on the Wyndham we found something very odd, yet very compelling.  Here is the quote:

What the hotel can offer in this small bedroom community is several large conference rooms, two restaurants, several bars, swimming pools, saunas, tennis, golf, complimentary van service, and golf carts for a mere $35 for the weekend.  And in Peachtree City it really doesn't matter if you play golf or not.  The entire town is connected by golf cart paths that wind in and out of wooded areas, gym, restaurants, schools, and of course golf courses.

Yeah, you read that right. The Wyndham rents out golf carts for you to take to dinner. Now we have heard of renting a convertible Mustang to impress your date, but never a golf cart.

Turns out. this town is overwrought with 35 mph electric carts, so we looked into Peachtree a little further.

As we did some further investigation, we found out that Peachtree city is one of those Truman show type planned communities, and this planned community thrives on LSV's (low speed vehicles).  Peachtree city boasts 9,000 golf carts and only 34,000 people!

Oh yeah, and remember all those crazy conforming echo boomers from 60 minutes we talked about yesterday? Well they are the ones driving around town in these golf carts. Golf cart traffic jams in the high school parking lot, picking up your prom date in a golf cart, and just imagine, that gear head from shop looking at you all tough and exclaiming, "I am skipping class to work on my golf cart, man".

We know we have strayed a bit from the actual hotel on this one.  But if there was ever a reason to purposely book a business hotel, it is to see this circus close up and in person.
