- Dream New York

It is hard to know what New York socialite Vikram Chatwal is most famous for: being a rich Sikh, tattooing a "G" to his arm after dating Gisele Bundchen, or being a hotelier. Vikram's dad is hoping it is the latter, and claims his son's goal is to be the first Sikh billionaire. Here is what he told the New York Observer a couple years back:
Mr. Chatwal will tell you he plans to be the first Sikh billionaire. His father says: "Why not? This is New York City; he's just 31 years old; he's got a base to start with. The problem right now is, he's only spending 30 percent of his time towards business. The day he starts spending 70 percent of his time, within two or three years he'll make it."
Currently, Vikram is hard at work on upping that 30% number. Chatwal has been working with Deepak Chopra and David LaChapelle, and October 18th, DreamNY will open for business. DreamNY will have 208 rooms, each with a plasma tv and an iPod connected to Bose speakers.
Sounds like Chatwal the younger is looking to create the ultimate socialite experience. Rack rates start at $279, and suites will go for $579, all prices are based on availability, and date, of course.
