We think Mama Shelter, a brand new Phillipe-Starck designed, ultra-trendy hotel in Paris, is the Mama of all geek hotels: she's got 24-inch iMacs in her rooms. All her rooms. These computers actually function as a single terminal for all the room's digital needs, providing the HDTV, radio, DVD player and, obviously, the computer.
Downstairs, you can park yourself at a single long, narrow communal dining table that seats around 20 people. While you munch on your breakfast, you can stare down at the glass tabletop under which lies multiple TV screens lined up one after the other, each one showing a different news channel from around the world (pictured).
And how's this for, er, super-visual social networking: within the restaurant sits an "iBooth" that will snap pics and then will circulate the images around the various wall-mounted televisons in the restaurant area, giving you free license to ogle your fellow guests without looking like a creepster.
