The business center at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills might be the coolest biz center yet. That's because four black MacBooks which operate on either the Mac OS platform or Windows await you.
The room is small but stylish with mirrored walls, sleek workspaces and black and chrome swivel chairs. A printer and fax are on hand as well and the MacBooks are also fully-loaded with Microsoft Office, allowing you to receive a Word document via email that you can actually open. The only bummer is that you do have to pay for internet access--either by swiping your credit card or charging it back to your room.
The hotel's love affair with Mac also continues throughout the hotel. All of the suites feature a 17” iMac desktop computer and 40” widescreen LCD TVs with DVD/CD players (which are hidden behind a smoked mirror.) In the fitness center, guests can work out with their iPods but not just by using headphones. The cardio equipment in the gym features an iPod docking station which allows users to download music and videos to the system's 15” Samsung LCD monitor. Spa treatment rooms also have iPod docking stations so you can choose what music you'd like to be on during your massage. Hopefully, it's not Enya.
Finally, the front desk has fully-loaded iPods and iTouches available for guests to borrow during their stay. These are filled with hundreds of songs, podcasts and video. Some TV shows to get you prepped for your night out in Hollywood? Entourage, The Hills and Beverly Hills 90210.
