Kinda like what happened when we popped into the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2008/9/29/105614/190/hotels/Guess_the_Hotel_s_Fugly_Carpeting_Revealed_">George V</a> in Paris. Fortunately, at the <a href=""><b>Four Seasons Los Angeles</b></a>, that won't be happening. <p>The hotel completed a renovation of their guestrooms and suites last January and pretty carpeting seems to have been a priority. Check out the guestroom hallway carpeting above. The butterflies are a sweet and whimsical touch (we admittedly went, "Ooo!") yet the dark brown helps keep the hallway traffic dirt hidden. First off, don't be too offensive in design to either party; that means no super modern furniture or cutting-edge technology to annoy the regular business travelers, and no boring color schemes and generic artwork to annoy the fashion folk. Although, by the looks of this snapshot sent in by a tipster, the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Setai+Fifth+Avenue/local/1732"><b>Setai Fifth Avenue</b></a> is going to need some brand new carpet to replace this poor piece that is looking worse for wear after welcoming guests at the hotel's grand opening party on Friday night.<p> Our party spy tells us that this lobby carpet "literally dissolved throughout the evening," which reminds us of the heady days of house parties and trying to clean up before our parents got home. A carpet like this would have been doomed in that scenario, and meant a definite grounding.
