The fire was about a mile from the hotel when the Maui County Fire Department order the hotel to evacuate everyone to Manele Bay Harbor and onto boats. <p>As of 5:45 pm, evacuated guests and staffers had been allowed to return to the resort, even while firefighters continued to deal with the flames across Lanai.
