New York: The Saddest Cupcakes That Ever Graced A Hotel Bar

Planning on ordering a quick cocktail, we then noticed something that made us chuckle. At one end of the bar on a silver tray were rows of mini cupcakesthick with icing, delicious looking, and virtually untouched. But what else did we expect? Not that these sugar bombs put a damper on anyone's fun. Ok, we're a little worried that the Ace Hotel may just be getting a little too cool for school. Wait, what are we talking about? They've always been that way. The only difference now is that you can show off your allegiance to the hip brand by wearing one of their new "Letterman jackets".

Retailing at around $300, the jackets are (surprise!) handcrafted in Washington, by a 73-year-old family-run company, using pure Melton wool from Oregon. Got all that? Oh, and they look pretty good, too.

But there's something weird and creepy about taking home the cocktail dress of the waitress who just served you drinks at the bar. Thankfully, that's not one of the options on the Amenities menu. It's crazy, we know, but it's already time to plan for New York Fashion Week. The good news is that this upcoming NYFW is our personal favorite, since it's the fall/winter collections (layering, deep colors!) and it won't be hot and steamy outside as it usually is during the September shows.
