Forget Turkey Day, Black Friday and even Cyber Monday. Miami's huge-as-hell holiday week kicks off tomorrow with the first of the Art Basel Miami Beach parties.

Daytime may be for the galleries but nighttime is once again a hotel-heavy affair, and one of the hottest invites in town comes courtesy of none other than Andre Balazs.

Tomorrow night Balazs is hosting the launch of super-cool designer Marc Newson's speedboat, the Aquariva--yep, that's it pictured above--at the The Standard Miami.

While most folks are focused on Thanksgiving travel and meals, down in Miami the focus is already on Art Basel Miami Beach, the art fair that comes to town from December 2–5.

And all those collectors and scenesters accustomed to the buzzy dining scene in New York will be happy to hear that chef John DeLucie (of The Lion and The Waverly) moves into The Raleigh.

The new restaurant will be called The Royal and should bring some excitement back to the hotel that was dumped by Andre Balazs just over a year ago.
