Travelers now have another way of avoiding traffic and hoofing it along the Chicago River. The Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago recently opened its outdoor river walk, the last phase of construction for the sixth-tallest building in the world.
The river walk is essentially a riverfront park area that totals 1.2 acres, and it's opening right in time for spring. It'll likely become a hangout, since the park-like atmosphere and views will encourage people to linger. Accessible from the Wrigley Building breezeway and Wabash Avenue, the river walk allows pedestrians to walk along the Chicago River and offers great views of the water, Michigan Avenue and the city skyline.]]>
