Park City: Last-Minute Room for Sundance Film Festival

While most of the hot celeb action for Sundance went on over the weekend (and our bro Jaunted was there to cover it all), there are still films being shown throughout this weekend. And we just heard of a last-minute lodging option at the Marriott Summit Watch Hotel.
MaryDean writes to us:

I've got a 1 bedroom suite available at Marriott Summit Watch on Main Street Monday Jan 21st to Friday Jan 25th.

No word on how much but we did notice a few going last week for $600 a night. If you are hard up for a room, send us a line and we'll put you in touch with Mary.

Park City: Sundance Hotels: Scouting the Hotel's WiFi Scene

Perhaps unsurprisingly, we haven't been to too many raging Sundance hotel parties yet. (The festival officially starts Thursday night.) But there are a couple things worth noting.

First off, the Park City Marriott, above, supposedly has WiFi throughout the lobby. Uh, not so much this morning when we tried to log on. Another person we talked to said she'd also had trouble connecting, too. Not good for festival HQ. That said, the young woman at the coffee cart was super friendly.

Down the road, the Yarrow Resort is still working on turning its ballrooms into a big screening room. From the looks of it, though, things will be squared away by Thursday. The Yarrow's WiFi situation

Park City: Sundance Hotels: Slamdance at Treasure Mountain

The big alterna-event is Slamdance, which happens at PC's only green hotel, the Treasure Mountain Inn. The event hosts shorts, animations, documentaries and other "truly independent works." Everything's screened at the Mountain Inn, so if you've got a room there, you won't even need to brave the snow to catch a flick.

The 29 films that will be on this year promise to be good ones, as previous years featured work from Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins), Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) and Marilyn Agrelo (Mad Hot Ballroom).

Getting the buzz this year are Sync or Swim, a doc

Park City: Sundance Hotel Rooms: There's Still Hope

And if you've waited this long to book a room, things are looking grim. Still, there is plenty of action on Craigslist for the intrepid movie-and-celeb-lover. Just be prepared to pay.

You'll have more luck getting to town for the second half of the festival. We were able to dig up some condos in the $300 a night range, which isn't bad since you can fit a few friends in the unit with you.

Also worth checking out is the Yarrow Resort & Conference Center.
Park City: More Sundance Hotel Options

We've been digging and digging for Sundance Hotels, and so far things aren't looking good. With rooms at the festival HQ, the Park City Marriott, booked solid, other hotels have been selling out, too.
So we've started a bit of an unconventional room quest, largely focused on the web. Sundance itself offers up some booking help, but none of the properties list availability on the web. We found two one-bedroom Marriott Summit Watch condos going for $600 a night, which is $6k for the whole 10-day festival. A cheaper option is a non-hotel one-bedroom condo going for $240 a night, with a five-night minimum.
One HotelChatter reader already sent in a hot tip, and we're looking
