Since we've got sex on the brain today and since there's nowhere sexier than Vegas, we're giving you a heads up on cheap-o rates at the MGM Grand Las Vegas.

From now until September 15th, MGM is offering Sunday-Thursday rates of $69 and up (hehe, 69). We checked out the rate calendar for August (see above) and it's looking like the week of the 17th will be your best bet at this point.

Canouan Island: Raffles Resort Drops the Cost for Summer

<![CDATA[<img src="http://www.hotelchatter.com/files/3873/Raffles_Canounan_Island.jpg" class="imgborder"> A while back we were griping that the luxury <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Raffles+Resort+Canouan+Island/local/1013">Raffles Resort Canouan Island</a> (and its golf course) was a bit pricey at <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2006/6/22/04131/7018/hotels/Fore_Play_The_Donald_s_Golf_Apprentice_">$455 a night</a> during summer (and almost a hundred bucks more in winter). But the Raffles has come through with a summer special that's quite a bit more reasonable.The promoters claim that the Summer Getaway special rates for this resort are a saving of 56% per cent, although we're not exactly sure where they get that figure. In any case, the rates for summer (through to September 18) are now starting at $360 a night in a double, for a minimum of three nights, plus you get a full buffet breakfast each day,

Miami: South Beach Hotel Rates Head South

Heading to Miami this time of year involves an element of throwing caution to the wind. Wind as in those high gusts associated with a tropical storm or hurricane. Of course historically the big whoppers tend not to whip up until later in the summer. Nonetheless, South Beach hotels are already dropping rates to lure the stormy-weather risk-averse among us. Last week, we looked at The Standard Miami's 'Summer Lovin' deal. This week we got three more hot hotels and their hotter deals after the jump.

Miami: 'Summer Lovin' Deal at the Standard Miami

The Standard Miami is offering a two-night summer stay for $149.99 a night which includes continental breakfast for two each morning, complimentary valet parking and limitless use of indoor and outdoor baths.

We checked the deal for next weekend June 22 and June 23 and lo and behold, the "Summer Lovin" package came up for both nights which is a sweet deal for off-season Miami.
