HotelChatter member onezendog was rightwe're at the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Sheraton+Yankee+Clipper+Beach+Resort/ian/105641">Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel</a>, or the hotel formerly known as the Yankee Clipper. The hotel reopened in January and certainly does have that recently renovated feel about it. The lobby and public spaces all look fresh and modern, but if you look closely you still see hints of the past peeking through. Being such an old building, this means old-style floor plans and unattractive ceilings glammed up with new carpeting, paint, furniture, bedding, and flatscreen TVs. There are new elevators, too, but that doesn't necessarily mean better: Ours got stuck

ME Cancún, a Sol Mélia resort, is a hotel that is sort of ... well, meh (or shall we say, "MEh"). As we discovered last year, there are plenty of good things about the resort — as we said, pretty people, pretty views, and pretty nice furniture — but there isn't really anything distinguishing it from the properties around it in Cancun.

However. Unbeknownst to us until recently, the 22nd season of MTV's The Real World is already wrapping up filming in sweet, sweet Mexico (thanks, Jaunted!) and guess where the 7-ish strangers picked to live in a house will be living? The ME Cancun. Oh yes.
