Atlanta: Hotel Meliá Atlanta Will Open October 15, From $108 A Night

But we were happy to hear it's a Meliá, since it has a good track record in Europe (especially in Spain) and in Mexico and South America.
We can't wait to see how the vacation-oriented experience of these hotels translates into a business hub like Atlanta.

(Okay, officially ending choppy use of Español). We were recently alerted to the fact that, from now through September 14th, Sol Meliá will be offering reduced rates on 130 of their Tryp, Meliá, Innside, Gran Meliá, and Sol hotels throughout Europe.
While we always welcome a good deal, when we visited the website to check out exactly what was on sale, we were inundated by a flood of different discounts, none of which seemed specifically oriented with the four-day sale. Sleuthing under "Special Offers" unearthed rooms at the Meliá in Barcelona starting at

It's not hard to understand why the majority of TripAdvisor reviewers love the property and why the oceanfront hotel was recently awarded the AAA Four Diamond Award for 2008.
Room service is prompt, the pool offers separate areas for adults and kids (the hotel caters to adults, but occasionally those adults bring children), and the front desk staff is friendly, helpful, and good looking, if not a little slow in checking guests in and out.
Even so,
