Sarah Palin is Just a Regular Hockey Mom...Who Needs Three Hotel Rooms

So much so California's attorney general Jerry Brown is calling an investigation into the finances of the Stanislaus Foundation at California State University.
Palin is set to speak at the university on June 25 for the school's 50th anniversary. Her demands included a hotel suite near the hotel's campus along with two adjoining rooms. She also requested first class airfare or if they could offer a private plane, it had to be a Lear jet 60

New York: Political Hotel Persuasions, From Both Sides of the Aisle

So far this week we’ve told you about his-and-hers hotel requests by the rich and famous. It’s not just celebrity songstresses and notorious blowhards who require all sorts of fancy amenities at hotels though.
Not ones to stay away from the spotlight, politicians are demanding hotel guests in an entirely different class—often with safety and conferencing requirements that have whole hotel staffs (and national security forces) scrambling. Then again, sometimes all they want is an Atkins bar and some decaf coffee. Here are a few of our favorites that we came across.

New York: Sarah Palin Does Not Attempt to Lay Low While Hitting Up NYC Hotels

Memo to Sarah Palin: if laying low is what you're looking to do, may we gently chime in to let you know that staying at the Millenium Broadway smack in the middle of midtown during your NYC visit is not the way to go about it? It's tourist central over there and, frankly, you and the fam are not going to go unnoticed.
And while we're chit-chatting: can you use your authority to kindly ask the folks at the InterContinental Midtown to do something about those dreadful drapes?
