Santa Fe: Maybe A Romance Expert in Santa Fe Can Help Spice Things Up in the Bedroom

How's this for romance? The Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi is luring couples with a "Sense of Romance" package that would spark even the dullest flame of desire between a pair of nuns. Yes, dinner by candlelight. Yes, a bed of roses. Yes, those Sangre de Cristo mountains in the background.
And, for fun, an hour appointment with the hotel's Romance Expert, a designated concierge who presides over the Front Desk spouting fathomless knowledge about the ins and outs of true amor. Or, in more accessible terms: where to dine, what spa treatment to book, and where to go stargazing.

Virgin Gorda: If The Main Pool is Noisy, Head to the Spa at Little Dix Bay

We'd recommend the Rosewood Little Dix Bay, a British Virgin Islands resort with breezy cabins and no locks on the doors ("there are no keys in paradise!"). If you like luxury without pretense, this is your place.
But that whole "popular with families" thing? It almost ruined the poolside afternoon we planned for ourselves on a recent visit. As soon as we saw the large group of kids playing "Marco Polo" and splashing about, we knew we needed a Plan B.
And we found it--up the hill at Sense, a Rosewood Spa. But instead of a candle-lit relaxation room, this spa is open-air, set atop

New York: A Time When The Carlyle Offered 'Transient and Residential Accommodations'

(For the record, the Carlyle still takes transients, aka hotel

Playa Del Carmen: Why We (and Celebs) Like Lagoon Suites vs. Beach Suites

We were converted. And now we know why so many of the celebs who stay at this ritzy Riviera Maya retreat also opt for the lagoon over the ocean view

Playa Del Carmen: Tequila Tastings Are The New Wine Tastings

At Rosewood Mayakoba's tequila bar Agave Azul, a tasting is structured similarly to a wine-pairing dinner. Of course, you can slide up to the bar and order your shots straight if you know what you want--but we highly recommend opting for the pairing that comes with some snacks and little glasses of sangrita--a spicy little chaser.
