What Do You Always Order from Room Service?

The burger was excellent and cooked to perfection. However, we ordered mushrooms as our side and were served fries. Fortunately, those fries ended up being pretty tasty so no loss there.
However, we could have easily gone with a standard turkey club sandwich or a pasta dish. Or we could have really gone wild and tried a fancy entree like wild salmon or steak frites. We could have even tested the "service" part of room service by

Costa Mesa: Westin South Coast Plaza Has a Confusing In-Room Dining Menu

We get lots of hotel reviews from hotel guests. Some are legitimate, some are not. And some are unintentionally funny. This is one of them. Traveler101 got really worked up about the in-room dining menu at the Westin Hotel in Orange County. We aren't knocking his complaint. It's just that this might be the first time that an in-room menu has prompted a guest to write into us.

Just last night I stayed at the Westin South Coast Plaza in Orange County and was shocked at what has happened to Westin recently. I have always loved the brand, its people and its service. However, now I do not know what to think.

The room service menu

HotelChatter OpenThread :: Should We Tip Extra for Room Service?

While most of us know to regularly tip our bellmen and some of us routinely tip our housekeepers (and all of us should!), things start to get a bit dicey when it comes to room service.
See, in most hotels, gratuity is included on a room service order. But then when you open up your folio to sign off on your charges, you breeze past the line detailing the auto-gratuity that's been added...and you encounter it: the additional gratuity line before the total.
