But when the Residence Inn’s PR folk told us they’d be honoring Holly Robinson Peete with their first annual “Resident Mom” award, we were intrigued.
Sometimes a "feel good" story ain't all that bad, and who doesn’t love Ms. 21 Jump Street? The gorgeous gal in Hanging with Mr. Cooper? And now co-host on CBS’ The Talk?
Marriott's Residence Inn Will Give Mom Roses for Mother's Day

Residence Inn will give the first 50 moms who check in a single rose. Not 50 roses to each mom. (Darnit. That's sorta what we were planning on doing next weekend!) Sorry for the misunderstanding.

You won't have to scramble to a florist on Mother's Day, wait in a long line and pay a ridiculous amount for a subpar bouquet if you go to a Marriott Residence Inn. The hotel will already have taken care of it!
That's because Marriott is giving 50 red roses to all moms who stay at a Residence Inn on May 9. Fifty red roses will surely impress your hard-to-please mom, and you won't

We know it's hard to stay in shape on the road — especially with the availability of massive breakfast spreads in all the budget-ish hotels. You can stuff yourself full of things that come in wrappers inside airports and at gas stations — but it can be hard to resist hot food when placed in front of you on a plate or in a buffet spread. Even worse: you totally usually can't cook for yourself when you're traveling, and what you can prepare on an extended-stay kitchenette is, well, not a vast and varied menu.
Hilton Garden Inn is already workin'
