New York: Going Pink On Madison Avenue

Spoiled princess? Grandma chic? What's your take on this week's all-pink bathroom?. After last week's all black-and-white affair, we felt a little color was necessary. Perhaps we ventured too far to the other side of the spectrum?
As a bonus, we also are including a special video we shot from the wraparound Madison Avenue-facing balcony, attached to the suite. Though, when you're this high up, "avenue-facing" becomes more a figure of speech than anything else. It might be more accurate to say "avenue-defying."

Cape Town: This Is Where Michelle Obama Stayed In Cape Town

Lots of hotels have presidential suites. Though we can't manage to get a video camera into all of them, we can sometimes get excited when we learn of a particular guest that has stayed in one.
Back in June, in the days leading up to Mandela Day, Michelle Obama visited Cape Town, where she reportedly toured the District 6 Museum and lunched at the Kitchen, a small deli on Sir Lowry Road Woodstock. Her hotel of choice? The Table Bay Hotel, where she, Sasha, and Malia slept in the Table Mountain Presidential Suite.

New York: Want To Learn How To Make A Manhattan? Sit Here

A dining room table? Piano? Great views? According to The Surrey, it would have to be a graffiti-covered leather chaise lounge with detailed instructions on how to make a Manhattan cocktail.
Stashed away on the fourteenth floor, the Surrey's $7,000-a-night Presidential Suite is not the kind of room you sit around and play cards in. With its huge terrace, baby grand piano, and separate kitchen, the space was simply built for lavish parties straight out of a Fitzgerald novel. And in the event you should forget how to prepare Manhattan's eponymous cocktail, the recipe is conveniently written onto the furniture.

We did not know this until we got word that the hotel has completed a pair of Presidential Suites atop the hotel tower's 50th floor, giving guests views of both the American and the Canadian side of the falls.
