<description>&#x3C;![CDATA[&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;img src=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/files/1425/250bowery.jpg&#x22; class=&#x22;imgborder&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;While we still aren&#x27;t quite sure what&#x27;s happening with &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2008/6/19/111549/297/hotels/Lost_Hotel_Files_Whatever_Happened_to_Greenhouse_26_&#x22;&#x3E;Greenhouse 26&#x3C;/a&#x3E; (it could open as soon as 2009), there is another green hotel on the horizon for Manhattan.&#x3C;p&#x3E;A 63-room boutique hotel is slated for &#x3C;b&#x3E;250 Bowery&#x3C;/b&#x3E; between Houston and Prince streets across from the New Museum and it will be a totally green hotel with &#x22;sustainable technologies.&#x22; &#x3C;p&#x3E;These include a green roof, geothermal system, water-efficient plumbing fixtures, a steel facade as well as sustainable and renewable construction materials.&#x3C;p&#x3E;Peter Moore Associates are behind the building&#x27;s conception. This architecture/development company, helmed by Peter Moore (natch) have mostly done residential buildings but as &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.brownstoner.com/brownstoner/archives/2008/06/gowanus_sees_ma.php&#x22;&#x3E;Brownstoner&#x3C;/a&#x3E; reports, they are getting more and more involved in hotels.
