Some guests report key cards not working properly, others report some unfinished room amenities like a mini-bar with no drinks and holes in the wall. But for the most part, people liked the Palazzo and were very understanding of these minor glitches.
One thing that stands out are the complaints about having to use the Canyon Ranch Spa in the Venetian. Several reviewers complained about the spa experience (which we ourselves loved so much

The 74-year-old hotel mogul--and majority shareholder of Las Vegas Sands, which operates the Palazzo, the Venetian and others--is about to give up on Vegas from the sounds of a recent interview in USA Today.

See, Vegas may be a mint, but as Adelson says himself, way more people live near Macao than live near Southern Nevada. So he's focusing on the Chinese enclave and gambling mecca, where he hopes to turn the Cotai Strip into "Asia's Las Vegas."

While rival hotelier Steve Wynn has been comparatively slow to crack the Macao market,

Their second-floor suite features a changing-table, baby-soothing music, and a lactation consultant on call. All for $500 a night. We get the lactation consultant but if you've spent money on all the gadgets, gizmos and other nursery amenities that a baby "needs", isn't this just a little extravagant?

Anyhow,

When we looked online for rooms tonight, the prices listed started at $499 for a Palazzo Luxury room with a king bed but were sold out.
We then called the reservations line to see if the rooms were open and the number listed for the Palazzo suite reservations forwarded us to the Venetian reservations line. Finally, after a wait of about 10 minutes an operator came on the phone and detailed some of our Palazzo lodging options.
Here's the breakdown:
· Jan 11-13: Confirmed views of the strip at $299 a night in Palazzo Luxury King room which is 720 sq.ft.
