One of London's ongoing summer events, a Rooftop Film Club hosted at a popular Hoxton bar, inspired something of a cult-like fervor among local film buffs. Piggybacking on Londoners' love of all things cinema and all things, uh, rooftop, is the Berkeley hotel, who is transplanting the concept from East to West and taking full advantage of their posh terrace climes (not to mention outdoor lamp heaters).

As Hurricane Irene narrows her eyes and speeds towards New York City, we're reminded of one very important thing: this is a city full of celebrities! If the streets flood and we're all wading through sewage with our belongings strapped to our backs, then at least we can take comfort knowing that the glamorous people are doing the same.

And our besties over at On Location Vacations remind us that there are plenty celebs in town right now filming, including the controversial comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. Cohen has spent most of this week at The Roosevelt Hotel, shooting scenes for his next movie, The Dictator.

Though we've never had the unique pleasure of being besieged by dozens of journalists in a fancy hotel room (all we can think of is that scene from Notting Hill, when Hugh Grant pretends to be a reporter from "Horse & Hound" in order to speak to Julia Roberts), we imagine things must get a little tedious.

TV show character names must be the go-to aliases for celebs. We told you about Justin Bieber's hotel handle—Chandler Bing—and now we find out about another star's make-believe check-in name. Kristen Bell recently checked into an undisclosed Alaska hotel under the moniker Holly Frobisher.

It sounds like an innocent-sounding name. The Couples Retreat star stole it from the show Damages; it's the name of Ted Danson's character's wife. Again, no big deal. But it turns out that Danson was in the hotel lobby after she checked in.
