In the heartbreaking film Blue Valentine the troubled married couple played by Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams try to repair their in-tatters marriage by stealing away to a the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge for a romantic weekend. That may have been their first mistake.
A diplomatic Williams described the futuristic room as "trashy" to the Los Angeles Times, but Gosling went all out and said it was more like the "inside of a robot's vagina." Delightful. ]]>
Last night, Starwood threw a big party to celebrate the launch of their Aloft brand (perhaps you've heard about it?) after the first Aloft officially opened last week in Montreal.
The bash, held in the Aloft "test-lab"/warehouse in Hawthorne, New York (about 10 miles from Starwood's White Plains HQ), featured entertainment by former Destiny's Child-er Michelle Williams.
Williams has, apparently, launched a solo career and the Aloft event doubled as a "Listening Party" for her new album.
The shindig was open to Starwood Preferred Guests Platinum members -- and one of the 150-ish partygoers won a trip to Aloft Beijing. Jealous! ]]>
