Yes, that Isle of Man. The one that sits in the Irish Sea between Belfast and Blackpool, that prints its own stamps and pounds sterling notes (and coins!) and hosts a motorcycle race every year. That Isle of Man. Who would have guessed it also had hotel properties like this? The Sefton is a truly British place, with a winter garden, chintzy rooms and proper afternoon

Just over a year ago, while on a visit to the Fond Deux Cocoa Plantation Hotel on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia (see those awesome pics <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2009/11/3/124739/527/hotels/Inside_The_Fond_Doux_Cocoa_Plantation_Hotel_In_St_Lucia">here</a>), we inadvertently trespassed on the edge of a new hotel property. Don't worrya guard stopped us after emerging from a gingerbread-looking guardhouse. Where the heck were we?
