While there's nary a mention of of Jim Cramer's name on the inn's website site, the top banner of the page features Cramer doing his tough money manager crossed-arms pose. Monterey: Spindrift Inn No Longer Spendthrift

Monterey is not exactly known for its budget accommodations, however seedy Cannery Row’s past might have been. So it seems that the Spindrift Inn has decided to conform, renovating its rooms in what it calls “European elegance.”

From what we can tell, that means the Inn’s 45 rooms have gotten hardwood floors, over-stuffed feather bedding, little sitting areas, marble bathrooms with nickel fittings, and traditional furnishings (except for the flatscreen TV’s, or course) decorated in green and red tones.

The Telegraph Overwhelms Us With Cozy British Hotels

We love a good insider list of great hotels but in the UK the Telegraph has gone totally overboard with its recent "cosy hotel" list--how can we ever try out 50 different hotels?

But curiosity got the better of us because we want to know what a "cosy" hotel actually is. Apparently they mean a place with a nice fireplace and "buttered crumpets for tea", usually out in the countryside. Okay, that's cozy.
