Despite a few little quibbles (tiny rooms, far out location, too-cool-for-school staff) in the past, we’ve often touted the glories of Paris’s swingingest “little hotel that could,” Mama Shelter. We love the simple but sophisticated Philippe Starck design, the iMacs in all the rooms, the iPhoto booth in the restaurant, and the handsome crowd that comes there to hang out.
Far and away the best thing about the hotel, however, are the consistently low room prices, especially by Paris standards. That’s why we were pleased yet unsurprised by the recent announcement that Mama Shelter will be holding a promotion with room rates starting at a mere 99 euros this summer.
