That said, <b><a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Roosevelt+Hotel+New+York/ian/131795">The Roosevelt</a></b> has its ups and its downs, but it is most definitely the quintessential New York tourist hotel. Onto our experience, over Halloween weekend: <p><b>Check-in:</b><br>Although we live in New York, we came straight to The Roosevelt after flying into JFK at the end of a trip, so we were your typical tired, bedraggled guest.
