They actually took the whole safe, as it was only affixed to the wall with silicon, and they managed to do it in a period of ten minutes while everyone was at dinner.
Although the hotel has been identified as the Colonna Hotel in Porto Cervo, one of the many Iti Resorts on Sardinia's Costa Smeralda, we'd continue to

We landed the MGM Grand for our second night in Sin City, which we were very excited about. And although we got zilch in the way of upgrades and vouchers at check-in, we rather liked our room — it was a little old-looking, but it had a pretty super view of mountains and McCarran airport. We could have watched the planes coming in all day.
Unluckily for us, as it turned out, we didn’t. We went out instead. And, because we were a bit nervous of being mobbed by drunk people, just as we were going out the door,

Beverly Hills: Businessmen at the Beverly Hills Hotel Beware of Sexy Ladies

Our favorite place on earth, the Pink Palace--aka The Beverly Hills Hotel--was the scene of a crime!

Beverly Hills police are looking for a white woman with black hair, in her mid-20s who speaks with a strong European accent. The police believe she may have drugged a businessman staying at the hotel on Aug. 15 and made off with his Rolex, his Louis Vuitton wallet and other pricey items, all together worth $35,000.
Not so surprisingly, the man met the suspect in the hotel's bar about a half-hour before closing time. After a drink, he suggested she go back to his room with him. The woman agreed. And you know what happened next.
