Oh noes! Our favorite place on earth, the Pink Palace--aka The Beverly Hills Hotel--was the scene of a crime!

Beverly Hills police are looking for a white woman with black hair, in her mid-20s who speaks with a strong European accent. The police believe she may have drugged a businessman staying at the hotel on Aug. 15 and made off with his Rolex, his Louis Vuitton wallet and other pricey items, all together worth $35,000.

Not so surprisingly, the man met the suspect in the hotel's bar about a half-hour before closing time. After a drink, he suggested she go back to his room with him. The woman agreed. And you know what happened next.

Note: the gossip item said the new Thompson hotel which would make it the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Thompson+Beverly+Hills/local/806">Thompson Beverly Hills</a>. But they posted pictures of the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Hollywood+Roosevelt+Hotel/local/11">Hollywood Roosevelt</a>. So we aren't sure at which place the incident occurred. We love The Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach so we were pretty disheartened to hear from a recent guest who claims their iPod was stolen from their room.

Hotel Maven Texan44 recounts what happened:

My boyfriend and I had an overall pleasant experience at the hotel besides the event of his new 80G iPod being stolen from the room when we went out for dinner. The hotel staff did nothing other than suggest that we file a police report (what will a police report do for a stolen iPod?).
