New York: Jimmy Has Everything We Look for in a Hotel Bar: Strong Drinks and Killer Views

And we're happy to report that taking in the nighttime views while perched comfortably on a blue sofa with a strong cocktail in hand did not disappoint.

Marrakech: The Best Roof Terrace in Marrakech is at the Maison MK, Says Jamie Oliver

No offence Jamie, but your cheeky chappy persona hasn’t exactly mellowed as the years have gone by, your TV ads annoy us to pieces, and you’re getting a bit too portly to be banging on about healthy eating.
Seems that not everybody is as ranty about Jamie as us, though, because Maison MK in Marrakech has just announced that Jamie has deemed its roof terrace “the best roof top

Chicago: We Spent The Week Scoping Out The Scene At The Wit Chicago

For this week that we spent in Chicago, we had a few must-sees on our list: the improvements in Millennium Park, the lakefront beaches, and The Wit Hotel in the north Loop. A new concept from Doubletree—who'd have thought—The Wit opened its doors at the end of May and quickly rose to the top of the Chicago nightlife scene.
Intent on snooping about the hotel, which is obviously very inspired by the more scene-y Manhattan Hotels (60 Thompson, The Hotel On Rivington), we headed to the loop for dinner at one of their restaurants and a drink on the rooftop, and we can say that The Wit definitely packs a few impressive punches.

Duh.
Tomorrow is the very first of the hotel's Get Up Get Down brunch and roof deck parties, which kick off this weekend. The parties are goin' down up at Hotel Gansevoort's Plunge bar all day long on Saturdays from 12 pm – 8 pm (rain or shine, they say — there is both indoor and outdoor seating so you're alright). The Saturday party has guest DJs,

It’s a bubbling-under-the-surface buzz, mind you, but the nation’s capital has waited a long time to welcome a W — er, a W Hotel, that is.

Perhaps most of all, Washingtonians are eager to see what Starwood has done with the old Hotel Washington’s iconic Sky Terrace, a roof spot unrivaled for its views of the White House, Washington Monument, and, well, pretty much the rest of DC. Though beloved for its incredible views, the Sky Terrace always seemed to ooze with mediocrity previously (i.e. overpriced-but-underwhelming drinks and a touristy vibe).
