Maybe the LIV nightclub at The Fontainebleau should reconsider their $40 valet parking charge. How else to explain why Lebron James' mom Gloria went crazy on a parking attendant, resulting in her arrest for misdemeanor assault?

NBC Miami got their hands on the police report which said that the valet left her car running for 30 minutes while she talked with friends. When it became clear she wasn't getting in the car anytime soon, the valet turned off the SUV and returned the keys to the valet cashier. That's when Gloria unleashed her fury.

We’re all for prettifying the necessary uglies of hotelworld here at HotelChatter, and car parks have to come fairly high up in the ugly stakes (unless you count those nice corn cobs in Chicago, which you shouldn’t, because they’re not part of a hotel).

Anyway, we’re delighted to see that the Beverly Hilton has done its best to jazz up its car park. The entrance from the top deck is pretty jaunty, and from then on, every elevator bank has a pretty picture to liven up your wait. Taking it from the top:

Here at HotelChatter, we’ve heard of some obscene parking charges. And while admittedly this one doesn’t quite trump the $75 overnight fee at Smyth Tribeca, we were pretty shocked by it.

Over the weekend, we went to visit a friend staying at Andaz WeHo. Having stayed there before, we remembered they had ridiculous overnight charges ($28, since you ask), but we were hoping that for an in-out visit of under an hour (not as dodgy as that sounds, we swear) there would be different rates.
