The ghost hotel, which has remained in a <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2011/1/11/12506/8032/hotels/The_Flatiron_Hotel_and_Its_Fishes_Are_Hoping_for_a_2011_Opening">nebulous</a> state of completion since April, finally has a <a href="http://therealdeal.com/newyork/articles/robert-toshi-chan-could-buy-the-flatiron-hotel-at-1141-broadway-being-sold-by-berkeley-acquisitions">bidder</a>: Robert Chan, president of Brooklyn-based Hotel Toshi has put in an offer, according to The Real Deal. What's more, the hotel is now ready to start hiring. However much we wanted to believe owner Hank Freid's <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2011/3/8/144256/4342/hotels/Promises_Promises_The_Sanctuary_Hotel_to_Open_in_May_">promise</a> of a solid June opening, it doesn't seem like the 115-room "budget chic" hotel will be officially dropping the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Portland+Square+Hotel/local/171">Portland Square</a> moniker until at least September.
