Guess The Hotel With Chair Tassels

For this week's Guess The Hotel, we're zooming in on one design detail from a hotel that has long kept us amused. Though we (obviously) won't say the name of the hotel, we feel its over-the-top medieval textures kinda speak for themselves. Note the blue velvet shroud theatrically draped across the end of the bed.

We feel these tassels would be perfectly at home in a 13th century castle in the hills of Scotland. Its lobby continues the medieval theme with high arched doorways, a giant chandelier, and a crackling fireplace. Without a doubt, this is the place to be as the holiday season kicks into full gear.

But first, you gotta figure out where it is!

On Monday we were <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2011/11/14/155215/88/hotels/Getting_Wooed_By_The_Artisanal_Lobby_At_Forty_1_North">snooping</a> around the gleaming Italian-tiled atrium inside <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Forty+1+North/ian/333170">Forty 1 North</a>. What we also happened to find inside the rooms was this plastic framed hole in the wall. No, it's not an air freshener. And no, it's not art. In fact, it doesn't 'do' something as much as it allows for something else to happen.
