For our next visit, however, we're setting our sights a bit closer to the ground. London: Ron Arad Flaunts His Bike At The W London

Some of London’s hottest men (in reputation, at least) got on their bikes last night at the W London. Ron Arad and Patrick Cox were there to see the unveiling of their specially-designed bikes, as was Benedict Radcliffe, the bike crafter, and Jordan Smith, who rode the fixie round London in the launch video.

Sadly, none of the lady bike designers could make it (the event was postponed from last week, due to the London riots) but fashion designers Patrick Grant and Henry Holland showed face instead.

It’s turning into a fully fledged cultural Wuv-in at the W London right now. First, the (W)riters Library. Now, something that will appeal to design freaks and health heads alike: bikes!

But knowing W, these aren't just any old bikes. Each unit was built by Benedict Radcliffe and designed by Ron Arad, Natasha Law, Alice Temperley, Paloma Faith and Patrick Cox. This is far, far better than those projects where celebs “customize” a tote bag by scrawling something childish on it – each bike has been specifically tailored to the celeb’s exact specifications. And between ghettoblasters, hatboxes, and flashing neon tubes, the selection makes for quite a colorful array.
