New York: As The Pomerance Turns: Six Columbus Soft Opening Rained Out

According to the Gregorian calendar, today is April 16, which was supposedly the day Jason Pomeranc was going to move heaven and earth to soft open his infinitely delayed West Park Hotel renovation, Six Columbus.
However, as we told you weeks ago, this place ain't even close to opening. We called 212.204.3000 earlier today and the nice folks at Six Columbus Hotel, yes they answer the phone that way now, said there is "no set date for opening".
Shocker. So, let's say that like every other event in the North East scheduled for today---the Six Columbus soft opening has been rained out. Of course, the Boston Marathon is still going on, rain or shine,

New York: Six Columbus Opening This Month: Outlook Not So Good

Looks like a double dose of Pomeranc this morning.
It goes without saying that The Sunday Times Travel Magazine is one of our favorites. Month after month the publication is top notch.
However, this month in the glossy mags "10 Things You Must Do This Month", we couldn't help but notice "Number 4".

6 Columbus-- the hyped Big Apple hotel that's been promising to open since mid-2004 finally welcomes guests this month.

Um, if you believe that Nicky Hilton has a Super Bowl XLI hotel room to sell you down in Miami.
However, we do hear the Pomeranc powers that be are working hard to get the hotel open for business
