Being a 1910 water tower means that the Hamburg Mövenpick doesn't exactly have the standard shape of a hotel, making it an interesting place to stay from the outside at least.Inside, there are 226 rooms spread over 17 floors, which the hotel describes as "4-star plus" in quality. Rooms near the top of the tower have great views over the city. We have to say this killer view from the Schlosshotel Buhlerhoehe with its view of the Rhine Valley is the best we have seen yet. This guest got lucky too, checking in just as the sun was setting. However, we are sure all the rooms at this hotel which is a palace atop a mountain in Germany's Black Forest, have equally stunning views. And if it's good enough for Beckham and the rest of England's World Cup team, then it's good enough for you.
