The <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-business/post/bill-marriotts-full-statement-on-his-retirement/2011/12/13/gIQAZz5UsO_blog.html">Washington Post</a> has published a statement from the chain hotel king, who declared his optimism about the future of the company, as well as his hotel-hopping retirement plans. We've really missed our Summer Cocktails series. And we're a tad obsessed with the still fresh-out-of-the-bag Waikiki Edition. And you know what? It's Friday.

So what the hell, we're going to mash all those things up together, blend them into a nice, cool, boozy beverage, and tell you all about one of the Waikiki Edition's signature cocktails.

This baby is called One For The Hammock ($10), and it was created by one of the hotel's beverage consultants, Tobin Ellis, who wanted to showcase Cuervo Platino Tequila in a lighter, more beach-friendly drink that would go down easy.
