Medlow Bath: Score a Million-Dollar Suite for $350 in Australia's Blue Mountains

This hotel's had such a colorful history it's hard to know where to start.
We'll try in the present: it's hit the headlines recently over rumors that the Malaysian owners want to sell up, complaints that it needs an urgent renovation and that the staff needs some improvement.
But there's so much more going on that we are still keen to visit.

Australia's Best Hotel Pool Comes With Fish

So it's no surprise that the Aussie media is starting to pump out articles about the most gorgeous hotel pools Down Under and there are quite a few to choose from.
Our personal favorite is the pool at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa on the Gold Coast: this pool is a heated seawater paradise that even includes hundreds of tropical fish and you can go snorkeling in it! There's an artificial sand beach on half of the pool. When the Queensland coast can sometimes get closed down due to nasty

Woollamia : Five-Star Camping: Paperbark Camp, Australia

Say the word "camping" and many of us will run a mile. Alter this to "five-star camping" and it starts to get intriguing. On the south coast of New South Wales, Australia, the Paperbark Camp is anything but a humble campsite: it's a bushland collection of twelve luxury safari tents with verandahs and private ensuites (including outside bath tubs to get you close to nature--if you want).
The tents are all anchored above the ground so the threat of unwanted animal or insect visitors is low. After a peaceful night's sleep "in nature", you can go hiking or head to the beach, or just hang out in the tent. There is a restaurant on site, too.
Quite sensibly,

After some renovations the Watermark @ Wategos boutique hotel is an ocean-front place to stay that's had some good press lately.
Watermark does try to be trendy--you can see that just from the "@" in the name--but it usually manages to pull it off too. Guests get either upstairs or downstairs studio apartments that have marble bathrooms and designer furniture, although the rooms are not especially big.
The location is the best bit, right on famous Wategos Beach. It's also only about a fifteen-minute walk into the town center. But like many boutique spots in
