New York: What $100 Will Get You in Manhattan This Summer

Let’s start with a New York analogy, shall we? Finding a hotel for $100 a night in Manhattan is like… trying to hail a taxi during rush hour in the rain. Elusive, but not impossible.
We picked a weekend – July 24–25 – and did some sleuthing to see what we could find for a Benjamin (and change). The highlights were off-the-radar rooftops and newfound Euro-backpacker friends; the lowlights were shared bathrooms and ghastly floral bedspreads.

San Francisco: Save Some Green While Going Green at The Serrano in San Fran

Billing itself as an eco-friendly hotel, the Union Square-adjacent Serrano Hotel in San Francisco is offering rooms this summer for $99. That’s quite a deal for the sometimes-pricy Kimpton family, of which this is a member — especially considering that rooms usually go for about $189 the rest of the year.
The deal is good for travel every day of the week, and runs through September 7. There are a few blackout days, though: June 7-10 and 16-18, and July 12-16. Guess that means Bastille Day is out, zut alors!

Washington: Roll Into DC on Your Hog For $99 Memorial Day Rates

You’re just walking down the street and, oh, look at that! Suddenly you’ve encountered a steady stream of gentlemen strutting around in their leather chaps, in town for — what else? — the National Convention of Leather Chaps Enthusiasts.

So that’s just a half made-up example, but you get the idea: Washington hosts all manners of conventions, and they tend to stay or congregate at the same hotels, often for discounted rates.

Memorial Day weekend being no different, this Sunday D.C. will host Rolling Thunder XXII, an annual motorcycle

Palm Springs: $99 Summer Deal at The Swanky Riviera Palm Springs

That's an even smaller number than the readout on the thermometer during the hot months.
We read the small print for you on this offer, and it turns out that this rate is good for a weekday stay and can only be applied to one of the five "Riviera King" rooms at the resort. If those are taken, there are an additional three "Classic" rooms that are book-able for $119. So yeah,
