Browse, But Don't Borrow, From The Upcoming Pulitzer Hotel Library

Unlike many of the "lobby libraries" we see in New York (often boasting solely Taschen or Phaidon titles), these won't be your standard coffee table books. And unlike a regular library, the books won't actually be for borrow—instead, the collection "will be more like a museum," says co-owner Kourtney Pulitzer.
Mac Pulitzer, whose great-grandfather was Joseph Pulitzer, and wife Kourtney Pulitzer, hope to appeal to the already-sizable intellectual community of Fairhope—authors Winston Groom, Fannie Flagg, Andy Anderson, Jimmy Buffet and W.E.B.
"Crazy Manager" in Alabama

[Editor's Note: Sounds like Hotel Maven krissypooh is not a fan of the Best Value Inn in Dothan, AL--that shouldn't be a huge surprise to y'all, but as always, remember this is just one persons take. Here is her review:
On our way to Florida, we stopped at Best Value Inn in Dothan, AL. What a dump!
This hotel stinks. The room was FILTHY. The bed linens were stained and had cigarette burns. The bathroom was nasty and scummy and full of hair. We kept the room, since it was late at night, but complained to the manager the next day. What a psycho! She refused us a refund because we stayed in the room.

Looking for a hotel room that doubles as a meth lab?

Well, if so, look no further than Mobile, Alabama.

Allegedly, Suite One in Mobile, was the site of a full-blown meth manufacturing operation. The second arrest (in the past three months!) involving meth making took place there last week, according to NBC15.

Reports indicate, this whole area of Mobile, dubbed Tillman's Corner, is a hot spot for motels serving as areas of shady activity.

A strip of motels, including the Ecno Lodge and the Super Eight Motel has been serving as a haven for drug dealers and prostitutes for months, according to the article.
