The 28-room <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/The+Sky+Hotel/local/919"><b>Sky Hotel</b></a> reopened out of the old Allagio hotel and has given the place a top-to-bottom modern look.<p>While the website is super cheesy (a couple walking on a date, business men wheeling and dealing and what we believe is a Hollywood agent laughing about a recent back-stabbing deal), the rooms have adopted that whimsical but modern look we often find in boutique hotels today. Two in LA immediately come to our mind--the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Viceroy+Santa+Monica/local/583">Viceroy</a> and the <a href="http://www.hotelchatter.com/hotel-reviews/Huntley+Santa+Monica+Beach/ian/123107">Huntley</a>.<p>Plus the place has the hip amenities we fussy travelers look for today like high-speed internet, an iPod docking station, flat-screen TVs.
