Just like a great film, hotels can create another world that guests escape to during their stay. Watching a movie in-room is the perfect way to complete the experience. Though, personally, we prefer a selection more diverse than mindless blockbusters, or in a best case scenario, recent Oscar contenders. Don't call us snobby; we just have great taste.

The Auteurs, a place to discover and stream "visionary films" online, has come to the rescue of cinephiles and travelers alike by partnering with Design Hotels for a project they've dubbed Hotel Cinematheque. Ooh la silver screen.

If you can't stand the sweltering heat, maybe this video of the Ice Kube bar at the Kube Hotel will cool you down. It involves a creepy ice Teddy Bear statue and lots of shots of Grey Goose which always makes us smile...just before we throw up.
