Loved you on Oprah last week. And you know what? You're right: what Angelina did was very uncool, but it was also rather unfortunate that Vogue pulled that little tidbit from your interview and used it as your cover line on the front of the December issue, dontchya think? Yikes. Guess they didn't clear that one with your people first, huh?
Anyway, we're not here to talk to you about that — nor are we here to point out that your lovah John Mayer is starting to look a wee bit Marc Anthony-esque (if this photo on People.com is to be believed) — but rather, your choice of hotels

Los Angeles: Express Check-Out :: Los Angeles Rooftop Hotel Bars

It's the land of the sprawl out here. Also, it's warmer most of the year (double duh!) and pools are about as de rigueur as nose "refinements."
Yet should you still wish to nurse a sugar-free mojito (light on the rum) while looking at the land of smog, there are some places where your odd dream can come true.
And if you were hoping it would be at the Thompson Beverly Hills, you're going to have to wait a bit longer. (Typical!) The rooftop pool and lounge is now expected for late June.
· <a

Los Angeles: The Oscars Are Good Business for Los Angeles Hotels

But thankfully for hotel owners, general managers, and sales/marketing teams, that didn't happen!
Celebs and their entourages as well as media, wannabes and paparazzi flooded the hotels once the award show let out. Let's just say, we would have hated to been on either Sunset or Wilshire Boulevards last night.
In case you need to know who was where, here's a handy list:
· Page Six runs down the Oscar gossip. The Four Seasons on Doheny had a viewing party attended by Paris Hilton's parents; Earlier in the day, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban ate

Ledger was shooting a movie and wanted to stay in the Sunset Tower for four months. It was one of my first celebrities at the hotel and

As a blogger, he is going to be sharing some of his observations on the hotel world. But in his inaugural post, he dishes on why he got into the hospitality industry in the first place.

Ever since I can remember I have been freakishly obsessed with hotels, much more so than the average hotel geek who concerns himself only with bathroom products, bed linen thread count and front-desk service.

Then he recounts how this obsession got him slapped by his mother at age 15 in Rome when he preferred to check out the Hassler
